So, Lee and I were testing the screen that the officer said should be complicated to open from the outside due to the 'tabs' being on the inside. Other than the fact that night I looked at him sideways and wondered if he truly believed that it was that hard. I mentioned paper clips, or by removing the Vinyl spine temporarily. We realized that you can push the top up; it lifted more easily than from the inside!!! WTF!?
I've taken inventory of everything now and priced everything out. Including pertinent Personal Data and things we can't remember in our personal bags, I didn't include the items that took time to make like the scarves I was knitting and all of the data on the Gamecube's memory card.
It now totals to $1000 - $1215

I'm sorry but some police officers r just retarded lol....Hopefully you get reimbursed for your belongings...
lol- The police officer that handled it was actually pretty nice. There's no telling where our stuff is, yet.
And Renter's Insurance only wants to cover but so much and also take out a $500 deductible and $250 for depreciation on things... that's what... like $300 total that we get from insurance for all our shit?
Thanks for your concern. I wish that we'd just get our shit back instead. It's been a lousy month.
